Dirty Tile & Grout?
New Jersey's Grout & Tile Cleaning Specialists
Serving Hunterdon and Somerset Counties
Ceramic tile accounts for more and more flooring square footage every year and shows no sign of slowing down. Commonly found in entries, restrooms, kitchens, and other high traffic areas, tile and grout has become a bit of a headache for the homeowner. While the versatility and durability of tile makes it desirable, the cracks and pores hold onto dirt and grime like glue.
The most common complaint about ceramic tile is dirty grout. And we know how much hard work it takes to get it clean with just a brush and some random hardware store cleaning products. Grout can collect soil, grease and food and drink stains, giving it a dark, grungy appearance. Believe it or not, your mop could actually be contributing to this soiled look!
If you're not sure about how well your grout will clean up, take a look at some of our example photos. Or give us a call at 908-864-2122 for more information.
Grout Cleaning/Restoration
Steps to restoring your dirty grout:
Pre-treat tile and grout with our commercial grade low-odor, non-toxic cleaner that loosens accumulated soil, grease, contaminants and topical residues. Dwell time 10-`15 minutes.
Agitate the solution into the grout lines as well as on the tile surface.
We use a pressure washing system designed specifically for tile & grout. Our cleaning process power washes the floor to extract soil and grease from the pores of the tile and grout or other hard surface floors. The system generates water pressure up to 1200 P.S.I. to soften and extract years of soil and contaminants. The floor tool connects to a powerful vacuum hose, which sucks the cleaning disk to the floor, and confines the water spray inside the 16-inch disk. There is virtually no splash over to worry about. The vacuum hose draws away the water, along with the dirt. You will find that our process restores the grout 85 to 90 percent of its original appearance. Some stains will not come out because they dye the grout, but the combination of water pressure, and suction removes most stains.
Speed dry the floor with our high powered air movers and inspect all cleaned areas. Spot treat any areas in need.
Once dry, it is time to add a color seal or clear sealer to your grout lines. With the color sealing, the grout becomes one uniform color making your floor, in most cases, look even better than new.
SWEEPING AND MOPPING IS NOT ENOUGH
Microscopic pores allow dirt & other contaminants to become trapped below the surface, where they cannot be removed with regular mopping. The dirt continues to buildup inside those pores, leaving grout looking dark, dirty & discolored. Do you notice this buildup on your floors?
CLEANING BY HAND IS INEFFECTIVE
Hand scrubbing with harsh cleaners can be ineffective (not to mention very time-consuming, dangerous, labor-intensive, & down right painful to your back & knees.)
